Event Management and Hospitality Management Day

The Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management (AESHM) is hosting an Event Management and Hospitality Management Day for high school seniors who are exploring the Event Management and Hospitality Management majors. During this visit, you will interact with current students, meet faculty and advisors, tour program spaces, and discover how the Event Management and Hospitality Management majors align with their career goals.

Cost: There is no cost to attend

Parking: Parking is available at the Memorial Union ramp on Lincoln Way.

Example of Past Visit Schedule

8:45 am Check-in

9:00 – 9:30 am Welcome and Preview of Iowa State – Information session with an admissions counselor which provides an overview of Iowa State, academic programs and services, and the application process.

9:30 – 10:00 am Academic Information Session –  meet with academic advisors to explore the academic experience and discover how the majors align with your career goals.

10:00 am – 11:30 am Exploring the student experience in Hospitality Management and Event Management – Tour the Student Innovation Center and engage with faculty, staff, and students as they share opportunities available in the Hospitality Management and Event Management majors.

11:30 am – 12:30 pm Complimentary lunch –  in the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom with current students and faculty.

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Move and Mingle – Opportunity to interact and ask questions with the students and faculty that you have met throughout the day.  

1:10 pm – 2:00 pm Tour – campus and residence hall walking tour with student guide
