The Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom will offer three opportunities during the fall 2024 semester for guests to experience fine dining. Each event features a unique menu with seated service. You will enjoy three main courses centered around the theme of the evening, complete with dessert and wine parings.

The evening events begins with a sparkling wine reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner service at 6 p.m.

Reservations

To make a reservation, please email tearoom@iastate.edu with the date you’d like to attend and the total number of guests in your party. Seating is banquet style and your party will be seated together. Space is limited and reservations are required.

Anti Pasti – Ricotta and roasted tomato bruschetta with pancetta, served with a wine pairing

Primi – Lentil soup with focaccia, served with a wine pairing

Secondi – Potato ravioli with sausage ragu, served with a wine pairing

Dolce – Crostatina alla frutta

Aperitif – Creamy Cauliflower Soup

Entree – Duck Leg Confit a l’Orange with a wine pairing

Wednesday, Nov. 13: Nikkei NIght

Nikkei is a Japanese-inflected Peruvian cuisine

Hors D’Oeuvre – Ebi Crocant (golden fried crispy potato prawns); Wine: Pisco Sour

Appetizer – Miso Ceviche (miso marinated yellowtail); Wine: White Peach Sake

Entree – Carapulcra Pork Katsu (rich potato stew paired with tender breaded pork); Wine: Monchhof Riesling

Dessert – Matcha Tres Leches (green tea soaked sponge cake)
