Sellers named Associate Dean for Academic Personnel

Ames, Iowa – Debra Sellers has been named associate dean for academic personnel in the College of Health and Human Sciences. In this role, Sellers will collaborate with the college’s departments/school and with university partners to enhance academic personnel initiatives. 

“I am so pleased to be able to continue in service to the College of Health and Human Sciences and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, but in different ways,” Sellers said. “I look forward to being an ally with staff and faculty as we work together to deliver on the college’s mission of expanding human potential and improving people’s lives.” 

Sellers has served as associate dean and director of Human Sciences Extension and Outreach for the past nine years and brings a history of strong leadership to the position. 

“Dr. Sellers has a deep understanding of programs across the college and the importance of faculty and staff in delivering on our key mission areas of teaching, research, Extension and service,” said Dean and Dean’s Chair, Laura Dunn Jolly. “I am confident she will provide exemplary leadership for our academic personnel initiatives.”  

Sellers begins her role as associate dean for academic personnel on Feb. 1.
