Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management to host week-long celebration March 25-29

- All Day: Internship poster displays will be available for viewing on the ground floor of MacKay Hall
- 4 to 6 p.m.: An Internship Day Panel will be held in the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom located in 23 MacKay Hall (ground floor). Attendees wil hear about the internship experiences of their peers.
- 2 to 3 p.m.: Virtual presentation in the Stepatorium in the Student Innovation Center by Nelson Placa, Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility at Walk Disney World and a graduate of Iowa State’s Hospitality Management doctoral program. For current students in the Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management
- 3 to 4 p.m.: AESHM Pizza Party, Student Innovation Center Lobby. For current students in the Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management
- 4 to 6:30 p.m.: Ribbon cutting with the Ames Chamber of Commerce at Innovate 1858 and Sparks Cafe and the Innovate 1858 Maker Market, Student Innovation Center, Open to the Public
- 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.: Student Day in the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom located in 23 MacKay Hall. Show your student ID and get 50% off! If you choose the lunch special with water, that’s lunch for $4! You can also enter a drawing for a chance to win a free lunch. This is available as dine-in only and reservations are strongly encouraged to make sure you get a spot.
- 1 to 2:30 p.m.: Industry Day Panel in 2155 Marston Hall – learn about entering the apparel, hospitality and event industries from executives and business owners.
- 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Industry Meet and Greet for students in 2260 Student Innovation Center
