Responsibilities

I was a merchandise analyst intern in the Women's National Branded Bottoms buying office. Each day I came in and looked at our offices and the company's sales from the previous day. We looked over store inventory reports and I shadowed my office's merchandise analyst while he allocated product to stores. I attended vendor meetings, pricing strategy meetings and marketing meetings. I also completed 2 projects and presented our offices best selling pieces during the summer.

Accomplishments

I think my greatest accomplishment was my strategy project that I completed at the end of the summer. I was assigned one of the brands my office worked with, and had to come up with strategies to improve seasonal bottom selling for next spring/summer (2020). I met with our vendors for that brand and many other offices to complete this project. I presented to my entire buying office and upper level management. They liked my project and started implementing some of my strategies before I left.
