Natalie Kelly
Responsibilities
Throughout my internship, I work on multiple things. I create renderings for client proposals using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Google SketchUp. Also, I have track inventory, formulate pricing sheets, and even create contracts and pull lists. I assist both event specialists and project managers with anything they need, as well as our floral department during busy event periods. My job is to help out with everything needed to make any event (future or present) run as smoothly as possible!
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment from my experience as an intern for Event Lab has been my ability to use my Adobe skills and other digital platforms to create rendering for my superiors. I have found that my skills are very valuable to my organization, and adds to the creative vision as a whole.
Learning experience
My greatest lesson learned while working as an intern for Event Lab has been that being confident with my work reflects onto how to client feels about our interactions. I have found it is important to believe in myself first, and it will lead to positive feedback from everyone I am working with as well.
What advice would you give?
My advice for future students is to take any opportunity that comes to you. It is crucial to build skills in your related industry early on so you don't feel lost and swallowed up later on in your career. Understand that it is okay to ask questions and make mistakes, as long as you learn from them.
