My responsibilities ranged from assisting with logistical documents, attending client meetings, emailing with clients, connecting with vendors, tracking budgets, and day-of coordination.
During my internship my biggest accomplishment was taking the lead on an annual dinner for an investment company, and handling all the necessary logistics with the help of the team.
I learned that dividing and conquering is the best approach otherwise it will get very overwhelming for one person. I experienced many client meetings and began to understand what most corporate individuals and company's priorities are during meetings. I also have a more clear idea of how to see an event through start to finish.
What advice would you give?
We are told all throughout school to just say yes and try to experience as much as you can- while I agree with this, I would suggest that you make sure you still have an attainable work/life balance. Saying yes to too much can be problematic. Experiences will come just try to embrace what you are doing as you are doing it and not worry about what is next.
