Responsibilities
The responsibilities I had during my internship ranged from organizing membership cards, league cards, organizing the bar, the kitchen, the walk-in cooler, as well as the beer shed on the course. Other responsibilities I had were to stock cups, fill ice bins, stock napkins, condiments, make lemonade and bloody mary mix. During my internship I was held accountable for helping with the dinners we had, parties that were booked, answering phone calls, taking notes on inventory for liquor, beer, pop, candy, and chips. Other responsibilities included tending to customers, mixing drinks, taking food orders and taking them to the kitchen, helping pick up the liquor orders and checking the beer orders when delivered.
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment during my internship experience is the confidence I gained while serving customers. As well as being able to work in stressful times and organizing before the rush, during the rush, and after. This has helped me work better under pressure.
Learning experience
One major greater lesson I learned is the time management and organization skills are very crucial. Being early to shifts rather than just in time can help prepare before the rushes, as well as having organizational skills will help everything stay in line and flow smoothly.
What advice would you give?
My advice for future students is to not be afraid, don't be as stressed when trying to find an internship and during, as well as don't be as nervous. Everything will work out in the end and you will make the best friendships with your co-workers and customers.
