Responsibilities

I assist the Catering Sales Manager and Banquet Manager with day to day activities such as setting up and tearing down events, working face to face with clients in a professional setting, and serving guests.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment would be being put into a managerial role so early into my internship. It feels good knowing my bosses felt I had what it takes and put their trust in me to to lead.

Learning experience

It is very important to be able to keep your cool in intense situations. You will deal with difficult people and it is one of your top priorities to not be rude or too defensive against the client or guests.

What advice would you give?

Keep an open mind and say yes to all opportunities within reason. You want to make the most out of your experience, but you don't want to burn yourself out.
