Responsibilities

My job as an intern at Des Moines Golf is to learn all of the different sections that make up the club. I learn how the section works by working it for about two weeks and then I get to manage the area.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment this far has been from I was about two weeks into the internship. I was still not serving by myself. I was following someone else who had worked there for a while but this night was very busy. I took care of a six person table almost completely by myself and the members were so impressed with my service that they got the person I was shadowing and told them what a great job I had done. I realized how much praise is possible when you try to provide the best service you can.

What advice would you give?

Some advice I have for future students are to really take all of the opportunities you can get during your internship. All of the experiences will just help you improve as a worker.
