Responsibilities

There are a couple different roles I had the opportunity in working with. The first one was managing a full concession stand and staff at Principal Park, where the I-Cubs play, and the other was managing the back system of an app to deliver food to attendees in the stand. Along with each role came their own responsibilities, but working with other interns and the workers at the stand to make sure there was enough food for both the opened stand, and the deliveries.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my experience would be becoming more knowledgeable with marketing techniques and testing them out during different games. Since this company is still new, they are still trying to figure out more ways to get the attendees knowledgeable about the app and the delivery system, which I was able to give some feedback and future ideas for the company to try out.

What advice would you give?

Even if an internship isn't what you think you want, or would like, there will always be something to learn from it. Anywhere you can get an internship is always worth trying for because in the end you might truly love it or might learn something so valuable that you wouldn't have learned otherwise.
