Responsibilities

Responsibility for assistance with end-to-end event planning/coordination of 3-5 residential events, move-out days, and move-in days Execute social media strategy Create content for 5 posts per week, 2 social media stories a week Average 10 engagements per day Identify new marketing channels or enhance current channels to generate leads Manage local marketing vendors Assist with Corporate/Student Outreach, identify organizations, establish and maintain relationships to generate leads Assist with day-to-day tasks necessary to ensure the overall success of the Campustown office

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment so far has been planning and executing our summer pool party for our residents and their guests. It was a successful day of lots of swimming, food to eat, games to play, and music to listen to. We went to great lengths to set up a summer themed event for people to grill out and take a dip in the pool.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I have learned so far is to be patient and to use my mistakes as lessons. Working at an apartment complex with 1,200 residents, it takes lots of patience in order to make everyone happy and plan events that everyone can enjoy. I also learned that there will be mistakes made down the road but you should always use those as learning lessons in the future so that there is only room for improvement.

What advice would you give?

My biggest advice is to go big and reach as far as you can. There is so much potential in this major and we can all achieve great things if you work hard for it and are passionate about what you do.
