Joan Su receives Live Green! Award for Excellence in Sustainability

Joan Su, an assistant professor in event management, is the recipient of this year’s Live Green! Award for Excellence in Sustainability. The award is based upon the founding premise of Iowa State University’s Live Green! Initiative, which encourages all students, faculty and staff to be fully committed to and engaged in making our campus, its operations, and initiatives as ‘green’ and sustainable as possible. Su was nominated by students. Nominees were evaluated for cultural impact, impact on natural resources, economic impact, transferability, legacy to Live Green! Initiative and sustainability, and overall award merit. Su received the award Monday at the 2018 Symposium on Sustainability.
