Inactive students

Students who drop a course will remain in your course’s People list, but have an “inactive” label after their name. Inactive students do not appear in the Gradebook and will not appear on the class roster of students that can be added to groups. However, if you assigned a student to a group before they dropped, they will still be listed as a group member and the group’s membership number will no longer accurately reflect the number of actual “active” students in it. To reduce confusion, go to People > Group set name, expand each group and remove any inactive students.
