Eric Brown elected to ACPHA Accreditation Commission

Eric Brown, associate professor and director of the hospitality management program at Iowa State University, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration.
Comprised of select hospitality, tourism and business professionals, ACPHA sets standards that serve as benchmarks for effective instruction in hospitality education programs around the world.
As an elected member of the accreditation commission, Brown will help develop and enhance the standards on which four-year and two-year hospitality education programs at colleges and universities are evaluated. He will continue his work as a site team member, assessing programs that seek ACPHA accreditation. The appointment demonstrates that Brown is considered an expert on the curriculum, program resources, staffing, policies, and practices that ensure a high-quality hospitality management program.
