Visiting/Engaging with the Museum
The museum spaces are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
The Mary Alice Gallery in Morrill Hall 1015 features rotating exhibitions curated by student-faculty collaborations. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm and is closed on university holidays and for the months of August and January to allow for new exhibition installation. Summer and winter break hours may vary. Please check the Gallery and Exhibitions page for current and future exhibitions on view.
The Donna Danielson Conservation Laboratory and Waldee Collections Storage Facility are located in Morrill Hall 0017. These facilities are available for tours by appointment during the academic year from mid-August to mid-May. Request a tour or schedule a research visit using our online visit request form. Visitors can also view the Donna Lab through a window in the Peterson Gallery on the lower-level Morrill Hall 003 hallway. This window doubles as a display case which will sometimes feature rotating displays curated by student/faculty collaborations. This display window is viewable year-round during Morrill Hall building hours, typically Monday through Friday from 7am to 7:30pm. The LeBaron Collections Storage Facility is currently under construction and will be located in LeBaron Hall. Upon its completion, it will be available for tours by appointment during the academic year from mid-August to mid-May. The LeBaron storage facility will feature a window into the storage space which will sometimes have rotating displays curated by student-faculty collaborations. This facility is expected to open in 2027.

Policies
Food, drinks, and large backpacks are not permitted in any of the museum exhibition or storage spaces. Please place coats, bags, and umbrellas in the designated spaces when visiting the Donna Lab or collections storage facilities. Museum staff is not responsible for lost items.
Accessibility
There is an exterior ramp to the lower level on the east side of Morrill Hall. The west entrance also is accessible. There is an elevator inside the building.
Directions
Morrill Hall is located at 603 Morrill Road on Central Campus next to the Parks Library.
LeBaron Hall is located at 626 Morrill Road on Central Campus, across Morrill Road from the Parks Library.
Parking: Free uncovered parking is available at the designated (B3, C3, C4, C5, D3, D4, D5) commuter parking lots just south of the Iowa State Center. Visitors can then take the free CyRide bus, route Orange 23, to the Parks Library stop next to Morrill Hall. Maps and additional information can be found on the ISU Parking Services page.
Paid covered parking is available at the Memorial Union parking ramp located at 2229 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50011. Visit the Memorial Union Parking page for more information.
